Baptisms & Weddings

Photo of Baptism

We welcome enquiries for Baptisms at Holy Cross, St Sampson's, St John's or All Saints. Please download and read our Baptism pack (PDF 428KB), which explains the commitment and promises made by parents and Godparents in the Baptism service.

If you would like to go ahead with either a Baptism or a Service of Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child, please either attend a service to talk to the minister or fill in the online Baptism Application Form. In Cricklade you can come along to a 4pm Informal Worship Service at St Sampson’s Church on any Sunday. Alternatively for Ashton Keynes and Leigh Baptisms, you may also attend either Messy Church at 4pm on the 3rd Sunday of the month or 10am Family Service on the 1st Sunday of the month, and see the service leader afterwards (again, please check the Calendar).

Notice re building work

We are planning roof repairs in St Sampson's which may mean the church will not be useable for weddings. We will do our best to accommodate a service if we can. It is likely to be taking place in 2021.

Our ministers take funeral services in all four of our churches for people who lived in the relevant Parish for all or part of their lives. We also take services at the Kingsdown Crematorium. Please contact your funeral director, who will then make contact with us.

Using Churches for events

Our churches can also be booked for events. For example, St Sampson's Church has made a wonderful venue for Cricklade Art Group's exhibitions and is also used for concerts. Please use the contact us form to enquire.
