Originally, I was inexplicably drawn to the building when I moved to Cricklade, and over time I became more and more involved with St Sampson’s Church, was confirmed at the age of 30, elected to the PCC and became its Secretary. At the end of the 1990’s, I was heavily involved in the Four Spires Appeal, particularly fundraising for alterations to the South Aisle to include a kitchen, WC and a much-needed flexible meeting area. Spiritually, my faith grew and developed through attending local Alpha courses. These ‘opened my eyes’ and led me to attend a joint Methodist/Anglican study course called Equipping God’s People, during which time I put myself forward for selection to become a Lay Minister.
Licensed in Bristol Cathedral in 2004, as well as leading worship, I have helped to organise and run Alpha courses, and currently lead a Study Group in my home. My driving force is a desire to create opportunities for others to hear and understand the Good News and to help and encourage others to develop their faith (see Jeremiah 20v9).
I live in Cricklade High Street with my husband David, where I spend many hours working in our garden! We enjoy travelling, wine tasting(!), and spending time with friends and family. We are blessed to have a grown-up daughter who still lives locally.
